Los Roques Archipelago, which lies 80 miles off Venezuela's mainland, along the Caribbean Sea, is considered among the best bonefishing places in the world.

Clients visiting Los Roques will stay at Posada Arrecife, a tastefully furnished lodge. Many amenities await at Arrecife, every room is equipped with air-conditioning, satellite TV and a phone. No matter how one fishes for bonefish, perhaps the most challenging way is to wade the flats, spot tailing fish, creep slowly within casting distance and then make a presentation. If the fish is not startled, it will most likely pick up a jig or fly, and within seconds, the angler is hooked to a miniature-size express train. Conventional tackle Anglers may choose to fish within the boat at deeper areas, where huge schools of feeding bonefishes can be found. In those cases, 30 or more catches can be expected in a short period of time. Regardless of their size, bonefish can strip more line, faster than any other fish of comparable size.

Chapi has three 28 ft. fiberglass boats fully available for clients, with state-of-the-art equipment that include 75 HP Yamaha engines, VHF radios (in constant communication with the Main Island), every emergency device for insuring a safe sail, as well as tree-tops.

Experienced anglers have landed and released more than fifteen bonefishes in a single day, when weather conditions were favorable. Even novices (who had never seen a bonefish before) have been very successful at Los Roques.

Most bonefishes will weigh from three to five pounds, but anglers often hook bones considerably larger; several ten pounders have been landed.

For fishermen seeking less demanding standards of comfort, we are proud to introduce Posada Acuario. This is a smaller lodge, not as luxurious as Arrecife, yet very cozy and comfortable. At Acuario, guests will find rooms equipped with
