Chapi Guri

The "Paovon Lodge" is located at the southwest of Lake Guri in the southeast of Venezuela. Guests will be staying in the lodge, which name comes from the combination of the town "El Pao" and the fish "Pavon" (Peacock Bass in Spanish).

It is a Bass Fisherman's paradise, and Peacock Bass have found it the most perfect spot in the world to dwell.

Incredible numbers and sizes of fish have become concentrated in the huge remote bays near the Caroni and Paragua rivers, and the two smaller ones that feed the lake. These hundreds of miles of shoreline and thousands of arms and fingers are dotted with islands, coves and bays; perfect habitat for the huge population of Peacock Bass that average 7 pounds and often exceed 15. Anglers are seldom disappointed in their search for action on this fish- infested im-poundment. There also have other kinds of fish like Payaras, Morocotos and Aimaras.

Anglers will be in one of seven 16 feet fiberglass boats. Powered by 60 H.P. outboard engines. All boats are equipped with a double casting platform and extra electric motor Minn kota (Neptune EP 42) with 42 lbs. of thrust, rod holders, nets, life jackets, first aid kits and radios.

The comfort and delicious meals is another part that of this trip that fishermen are looking for after a great fishing experience.

Grounds consist of four colonial style duplex cabins, connected by gorgeous path surrounded with local vegetation that ranges from cactus to coconut trees.

Two "Churuatas" (Indian Pavilions), one of them is the dinning room where you will have the meals and the second one is the bar where we offer free drinks with varied snacks every night.

The Lodge also has a spacious Jacuzzi that can fit up to a dozen people. Clients will be delighted by the view of tropical palms scattered in the Savannah and the opportunity to ride horses. This is perfect for Non-fishermen companions.

Anglers can also overnight at the lodge their last day of stay, avoiding last overnight at the Tamanaco. First / last nights at the lodge would be included.
